Your child will get 3 meals a day while they're staying in hospital. We meet special dietary requirements where this is part of your child’s medical care or cultural or religious needs.
If your child isn't on a restricted diet, they can choose from a range of meals on our inpatient food trolleys which visit each ward. If your child has a food allergy or special dietary requirements, they may not be able to choose from the trolley and will be provided with a trayed meal from the kitchen. In this case, a nutrition assistant may visit you and your child to select a meal that meets your child’s preferences.
Snacks and drinks are always available on wards. Just ask our nursing staff.
